Verdict

This race, restricted to greys, is becoming increasingly popular with trainers. Richard Fahey runs two again and top weight Steve Prescott is likely to start favourite as he likes it here and won in a higher grade over course and distance eight days ago. But, at the weights, it could be worth taking a chance on stablemate GEORGE BOWEN as the latter has run well without reward since scoring at Wolverhampton in the spring and the likely fast pace will suit. Can't Change It should have the pace for this trip and is entitled to respect while Ascot third Smokethatthunders is another dropping back from 7f. Crew Cut was successful over track and trip last month and beat Light From Mars in this in 2013, though the positions were reversed last year when the pair finished third and fourth.
