Verdict

A tricky end to proceedings with a couple of the three-year-olds standing out. Silken Dancer made a winning start at Windsor in May when beating a subsequent winner and makes his handicap debut while QULOOB landed a double when romping home by eight lengths at Brighton. The latter has a hike in the weights to contend with but with more to come, Owen Burrows’ colt is still preferred to the older horses. Opposition won a lower grade contest at York and Ryan Moore takes over the reins today while Hollywood Road was placed at Newbury last time having won at Windsor earlier. Sporting Times is expected to improve and Niblawi was progressive last season and better than his recent reappearance run suggests.
