Alan Bailey won this with a well backed newcomer last year so it will be interesting to see if there's any confidence behind On Wings Of Love but Penny's Pearl and GOLDEN SHINE may be the two to concentrate on. The suggestion is the Mick Channon trained Golden Shine despite the fact that the trainer's juveniles have yet to kick into gear. The daughter of Royal Applause is related to a couple of useful juvenile winners and is bred to be precocious. One trainer that does have his juveniles in sparkling form is Richard Hannon and he saddles Penny's Pearl whose sales price increased at the breeze-ups last month which bodes well ahead of her racecourse bow. On Wings Of Love is more stoutly bred than that pair but she can number a six furlong juvenile winner amongst her siblings whilst Mother Jones and Phoebs are other newcomers with winners in their pedigrees who merit a market check. Those with experience don't appear to be anything out of the ordinary so it may pay to concentrate on the newcomers with Golden Shine selected.
