    Verdict

A typically wide-open sprint but both of Brian Ellison's entries go on the short-list with jockey bookings suggesting the hat-trick seeking Eastern Racer is the stable pick ahead of York scorer Mon Brav. Muir Lodge is gradually coming down the weights but finished behind Bravo Echo at Goodwood last time. Explain looks the best of the newcomers but Fever Few steps up a grade while Cool Bahamian struggles to get his head in front nowadays. Last year's winner REGAL PARADE has been running well enough to merit serious consideration again off a pound lower mark. There is rain forecast and his chance would increase if the heavens opened.
