In depth

Verdict

Tom Dascombe sent out the winner of this in 2016 and 2017 and Devious Angel’s dam won over the minimum. The Hannon stable has won it four times since the turn of the century and run two this time. The Ribchester filly Indian Guru cost twice as much as Symphony Perfect as a yearling and may be the pick of the duo. Ralph Beckett has booked Ryan Moore for early foal Amber Dew while George Boughey’s stable has been among the winners and Beautiful Sunshine is speedily bred. There are also possibilities about the Cheveley Park entry Canonized, whose dam was a 6f juvenile winner, but Andrew Balding’s string is already firing on all cylinders and the No Nay Never filly NYMPHADORA is bred to be quick and was expensively bought compared to most of these.
