      Verdict

      Nuits St Georges has been in fine form but was due to run at Haydock yesterday. Toshima won over hurdles before scoring over today’s trip back on the Flat at Ffos Las while Matchmaking won four times last year and steps up in trip on his reappearance for Sir Mark Prescott’s in-form yard. But winning hurdler GWAFA was having his first outing since February when not beaten far over 1m6f at Sandown last month. He finished in front of Ship Of The Fen on that occasion and, with improvement expected on his second start after wind surgery, Paul Webber’s grey gets the vote.
