Verdict

Tholjanah proved himself one of the leading staying juveniles of last term with placed efforts in Pattern company behind Redback and Mutinyonthebounty. The son of Darshaan cut litle ice on his belated return in the Derby but should appreciate both the step up in class and the drop in grade here so should give a good account. Spanish John has looked one-paced over shorter and is another who shapes as though this trip will suit ideally while Handa Island and Old California are others to consider in an interesting opener.
