    Verdict

A cracking event headed by Group 1 winner Kutub, who will appreciate underfoot conditions, but he looks to have plenty on with his penalty. The ultra game Yavana's Pace will ensure there is no hanging around, but he looks to have plenty on his plate, as does his stablemate Simeon, whose French Derby third reads well enough, but he probably still has a little to find with some of the older horses. Mubtaker, a high class individual, goes well fresh and is capable of a bold bid, while on the face of it Island House has a little to find, but is open to improvement over this trip. Xtra is useful in his own grade, but this looks to tough for him. The selection is Millenary, who looked unlucky in the Group 2 Hardwick Stakes. A proven performer at this level, he is arguably better over further, but there should be plenty of pace on in this and he can prove too strong for his rivals.
