Verdict

Frederick Engels came off a fast pace to land the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot but this is a stiff 6f and David Brown's speedy juvenile may be vulnerable trying the trip for the first time. Bannock also steps up a furlong but didn't enjoy much luck in-running in the Norfolk Stakes and is a tough individual. He looks a better bet than the once-raced Church Music, Pontefract winner Sans Loi and the maiden Kenny Powers but could find ROMAN SOLDIER too hot to handle. The latter beat Right To Dream at Leicester and finished ahead of North Star Boy when running Power to a neck in the Coventry Stakes. That looks the best form on offer here.
