In depth

Verdict

Mountain High disappointed when last seen but his earlier form as three-year-old would make him the clear pick of these and Sir Michael Stoute's colt gets the vote to make a winning return at the main expense of Colisay and Blythe Knight. The last mentioned showed improved form when landing the Lincoln on his debut for John Quinn but he was unable to run up to the same level of form at Newbury subsequently and may be best left out of calculations unless the rain arrives. Boule d'Or would have claims on the pick of his form but does not win very often, while Hattan has struggled since landing the Chester Vase last term. Amanda Perrett's Colisay showed improved form at Newbury last time and has to be considered on that effort but Mountain High is less exposed than his rivals and is taken to regain the winning thread.
