Black Beauty can atone for some near misses recently and get the better of Blue Bajan and Star Magnitude. Twice a winner at Lingfield this year, Star Magnitude has run well in defeat at Salisbury and Windsor recently, finishing third on each occasion. He is still well treated and can go well here. Unlucky in running at Nottingham, Blue Bajan partially made up for that when dead-heating at Folkestone before suffering from a rise in garde at Windsor last time. He has gone up the weights and may have to settle for a place. A dual winner this season, Black Beauty is a consistent type and has run well in defeat recently, finishing second in his last two starts. Despite going up the ratings after those good runs, he receives weight from all bar one of his rivals and Black Beauty can take advantage and win this.
