In depth

Verdict

Charlie Tokyo, Goodbye Girl and Emirates Gold are three against the field in this wide open nursery and the tentative vote is given to Charlie Tokyo. The selection was a fair second last time out behind Always Baileys last time out he remains on a fair mark and from a good draw and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Goodbye Girl rates the main danger on her latest second behind Casablanca. Granted that was in a claimer but she has a featherweight and could go well at a price. Emirates Gold is another that could go well on his best form but he was well beaten behind the Coventry winner Red Clubs last time and although this looks easier he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has actually achived. Elusive Warrior is another with place claims but he has given the impression in the past he would be suited by a longer trip and for that reason he is oppose. Of the remainder Truly Fruitful is from a yard that has been doing well of late in nurseries and could go well at a price but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Charlie Tokyo.
