      Verdict

Power of Darkness went close over a mile here on his reappearance and has leading claims on his second start after wind surgery. He’s preferred to Epsom runner-up Aquarium, who drops back down in trip, but Exec Chef was narrowly beaten in the Spring Mile at Doncaster earlier and has a shout on that form. VINTAGER has struggled in a couple of Group 3 races this year but represents last year’s winning yard and has decent claims back at this level on last summer’s impressive victory on the July course here. Charlie Appleby’s grey is taken to bounce back today given both Elector and the unexposed Al Muffrih are returning from lay-offs.
