    Verdict

The last three winners have all carried Godolphin's colours including FRENCH NAVY in last year's renewal. The latter looks the one to beat again this year back on soft ground and finished ahead of Tullius at this track three weeks ago. That was the latter's opening run of the season and he may well prove a bigger threat today while Penitent is certainly good enough to come out best if back on song after a couple of poor efforts in Group company. He beat Boomshackerlacker at Sandown in September. Daddy Long Legs is unproven in soft ground and having his first start since March and Lanansaak is taking on better class rivals today despite finishing third in a Listed event here last time.
