      Verdict

      This looks an excellent opportunity for PRINCIPAL ROLE to maintain her fine record in such contests despite conceding weight all round. She's much better than Listed level as evinced by her latest success when cruising home at that level in the John Musker Stakes at Yarmouth from the well-touted and well-supported Modeyra. Her third in the Nassau Stakes is a better barometer of her ability and she should get the business done here. Thistle Bird and Poplin, the latter a good handicap third at Chester latest, are well worth a shot upped in grade, whilst Bea Remembered was beaten in Swedish Listed grade last time. Charleston Lady has shown nothing the last twice but her Listed second here back in May was a decent effort.
