In depth

Verdict

French Rain placed in a premier handicap at the Curragh last month and has strong claims on that form though she debuts on the all-weather today and ROYAL PLEASURE is preferred. Sir Mark Prescott’s charge finished runner-up in classified company at Lingfield on his first outing since being gelded and today’s headgear should help this free-running sort settle better. Woven is usually thereabouts at this level and Dulas returns to the all-weather with a shout but recent Kempton winner Gavi Di Gavi is upped in class. Isola Rossa needs to find a bit more off her current mark while Echo Beach drops back down in trip, though Laura Pearson claims 5lb.
