Billy Garrity steered Hot Team to victory in an apprentice race at Hamilton a week ago and that form would probably be good enough for this though he's had nine all-weather starts, many of them on Tapeta at Wolverhampton, and is yet to reach a place. MASQUE OF ANARCHY (NAP) scored over the course and distance then was beaten a nose on a return visit before winning again at Beverley with a bit in hand. His rider was only claiming 5lb in that latter event and claims 7lb here so a 4lb rise is halved. Monash has run poorly over hurdles since finishing second over 1m4f here and may find this on the short side while Ayr Empress has been beaten seven times off this mark and lower after scoring at Hamilton. The lightly-raced Aradena ran well at Wolverhampton last time and may prove best of the remainder.
