Verdict

DORTMUND may be a restrictive price but it is hard to see him failing to collect here, with Arabian Star and King of Aquitaine best of the rest. Arabian Star had shown promise on her first two starts, before disappointing when made favourite at Salisbury last time. That would seem to indicate she is regressing and she is therefore opposed. King of Aquitaine may prove more difficult to overcome, as he stepped up considerably on his debut run when collared inside the final furlong at Ripon subsequently, the front pair clear. Kevin Ryan's juveniles seem to progress well and he looks a live threat. After a fine effort when second on debut, Dortmund was made favourite at Newbury recently. He came up against a useful type, and though he was done for pace close home, that was still a decent run. Dortmund can make it third time lucky.
