In depth

Verdict

BARRICHELLO ended a long line of seconds with a victory at Bangor then landed a Haydock Listed contest. He whipped round at the start and was beaten when long odds-on back at Bangor then just hung on in a Warwick handicap where he idled on the run-in. He'll be at short odds here but doesn't look to have much to beat. Irish import Bottle Hill ran well for a long way on his debut for new connections here in December while winning bumper Fringill Dike was unlucky to be impeded when unseating at Wetherby.
