Verdict

Course regular PROCEEDING was beaten only a nose here last week. He has the beating of Ritchie Star on earlier form at the track and looks worth sticking with in a weak handicap. Mudawwan recorded both previous wins over shorter trips while Equidae has just the one success in 20 outings and that came at Southwell. False Id has a better strike rate than that pair and may do better back over today’s distance while the returning Betty Grable scored over track and trip at this time last year and went on to win three more times on the Turf.
