In depth

Verdict

This is a quite competitive handicap chase in which Cloudy Lane, Supreme's Legacy and Numero Un de Solzen all make the shortlist with the vote given to Cloudy Lane. The selection has been a little disappointing over fences so far but the key to his chance is the fact that he loves testing ground and he looks the value call. Supreme's Legacy was making his chase and seasonal debut last time at Wetherby when he jumped well and travelled well for a long way. He ran out of steam but will come on for the run and he is worth serious consideration. Numero Un de Solzen is lightly-raced and likes the ground so he is worth a look on his chasing debut. Ferdy Murphy's Paphian Bay is the other with a chance but Cloudy Lane has plenty in his favour and is taken to score.
