Verdict

Toby Tyler, Veronicas Boy and Gone Hunting make the shortlist in this competitive contest with Toby Tyler given the nod to come out on top. Veronicas Boy ran promisingly to be runner up in a little Beverley maiden before scoring in game fashion at Hamilton, rallying having been headed. He looks sure to give a good account and will not go down without a fight. A winner at Lingfield, Gone Hunting has run three excellent races to date, staying on well at Thirsk last time. He is consistent and is another who looks sure to be thereabouts. Toby Tyler was the third juvenile winner of the campaign for Paul Midgley when scoring on his Pontefract bow and the form has worked out quite well, with one well beaten runner finishing a good second since. Conditions will be quicker here, but Toby Tyler can be expected to improve and he is taken to win again.
