      Verdict

Many of the contenders here have little or no hope so it may pay to concentrate on those towards the head of the market. Raw Silk is bidding for a hat-trick although it is possible that his trainer's golden run is coming to an end. Givre has been disappointing over hurdles on his last two starts but has a good chance of returning to form in this weak company. However at his best Totally Scottish is the best horse in the race and it may pay to side with him. At a big price Magenko could be each-way value although there is a question mark not only on his recent form but also his ability to handle this quicker ground.
