        Verdict

        None of these have ever won on the course including Sir Geoffrey, who has won 18 races in a long career spanning 133 starts. Scott Dixon's veteran is much better at Southwell though he did perform with credit here last week. Indian Pursuit was just behind that day and doesn't win very often while SLIM CHANCE has never won on an artificial surface though she's gone close several times. Simon West's mare will be having her 59th outing and is on her lowest ever mark so gets the nod in a moderate contest. Tavener still looks a few pounds high and Lady Joanna Vassa hasn't been running well enough recently.
