Recent Kelso winners Carlton Entry and Seldom Inn could have a bit more on their plate in this under a penalty and a number of their less-exposed rivals have promising profiles. One is Duke Of Yorkshire, who won over 1m4f and 1m6f on the Flat. Barren Brook scored five times on the level up to 1m2f while Waterclock was second in last year's Cesarewitch, though subsequent efforts were less impressive. SHADES OF MIDNIGHT won a Hexham bumper in April by eight lengths. The runner-up was second to the potentially smart Commissioned on his hurdling debut so the form may be decent and Donald Whillans' charge gets a tentative vote here. Tradewinds has ability and may provide the biggest danger with Mr Snoozy and another bumper winner. Doctor Glaz, best of the rest.
