Verdict

A wide open amateur riders contest to end the card and SIGNALMAN who is relatively lightly raced in comparison to the majority of his rivals is given the nomination. Although yet to score in testing ground, Signalman has proved he can act in it with a couple of recent placed efforts on easy surfaces. Simon Walker on board is a further positive. Mister Pete won under today's rider on his penultimate start but two miles looked to stretch his stamina last time. In a race where solid recent form is thin on the ground, he has to be on ones shortlist while Prince Rhyddarch failed to avail of what looked a lenient mark on his penultimate start and now has something to prove. Shekan Star is another that will not lack for assistance from the saddle and having only recently returned from a break is a contender as he should be spot on for today. Bienheureux tends to find a couple too good but goes well for today's rider. Signalman is selected to land the finale.
