Verdict

A tight affair in which Gargoyle Girl gets the call over Easter Ogil and Inchinnan. The selection comes here on the back of a runaway Musselburgh success and, even though she has a penalty to carry which hoists her weight to 10 stone 1 pounds and she has never won on going this heavy, might still be worth siding with in a modest heat. Easter Ogil has been running well in better company of late and can also go well, but, again, hasn't won on going this testing. Inchinnan has won from higher marks on testing going, but his most-recent success came three years ago. Millennium Hall has also scored from a higher mark but most of his runs at this trip have been disappointing. Mythical King is very well-handicapped on the best of his 2001 form and did well over hurdles during the winter. The booking of Kieren Fallon for Cantemerle catches the eye although the gelding has shown little form to date. The others look to need improvement to feature which leads us back to Gargoyle Girl, who gets the nod.
