Verdict

Mr Potter was due to run here yesterday so another recent winner, KIWI BAY, is preferred. Michael Dods’ veteran came good again over track and trip last week and is fancied to make another bold bid despite a penalty as he drops down a grade. A Boy Named Sue ran his best race for some time when second here last month but is back up the weights while Mr Sundowner was not beaten far despite finishing only sixth on his latest outing at the track. John Caesar finished a close-up fourth on his penultimate start but has just the one win in 28 attempts.
