Verdict

Ecossais won at Southwell yesterday and will be penalised 7lb if taking his chance. Charlie Snow Angel won an amateurs contest over a longer trip at Kelso at the end of last year while DEFINITE WISDOM scored at Musselburgh on his penultimate outing. A bad blunder a couple of fences from home ended his challenge last time but he gets another chance in this. Flamboyant Joyaux struggled back over hurdles last month having earlier finished runner-up over fences at Catterick while Nortonthorpelegend was due to run at Wetherby yesterday.
