    Verdict

First Response, a winner at Dundalk for Ger Lyons, was paying only his second visit here when scoring over the trip last time and is entitled to respect from 3lb higher. Star Shield is a very consistent performer who has won three times though he’s never run on an artificial surface. LITTLE JO won here last year, one of five victories in 2018, and though well beaten in the Cambridgeshire on his reappearance takes a big drop in grade and can return to winning ways. Tangled has been keeping good company and only just failed here last month so has to be on the shortlist along with Willy Sewell, who improved with each run last winter and made all at Wolverhampton in March.
