In depth

Verdict

Viva Volta is fancied to improve for this quicker ground and Tim Easterby's charge gets the vote ahead of Sake, Dispol Isle and Violent Velocity. The selection is a course and distance winner and should be suited by the quicker ground as he seemed to get bogged down last time out. This front-runner should be suited by this smallish field and he gets the vote to score at a price. Neon Blue represents a stable in great nick so should be respected, whilst Sake has winning course form but did let down favourite backers last time out. Violent Velocity ran well four days ago when just getting going too late. Fast ground suits so he should run well. Barkass is relatively unexposed so warrants a check in the market, as does Dispol Isle who's stable know how to land a touch. All in all this looks very open, and the tentative vote goes to Viva Volta.
