    Verdict

Veinard has been beaten a long way when placed in his last two starts after a much better effort at Wetherby in January. Seven Devils appeared to find heavy ground and an extra three furlongs beyond him at Haydock and conditions won't be much better here while Cadore hasn't recaptured the good form he showed early last year when he scored at Ayr from just 3lb lower. Gunner Lindley has had 16 starts over hurdles without winning so in the expectation that he'll be ready for this after a very long break the four-times Flat winner NICHOLASCOPERNICUS, from the in-form Kerry Lee yard, can make the long journey from Hertfordshire pay off.
