      Verdict

With Lugano going back up the weights for winning over track and trip recently and Taopix failing to cope with a 3lb rise for an earlier success over 1m2f here, it could pay to take a chance on KIRTLING. The latter makes a belated seasonal and handicap debut having shown little over shorter trips last year but it’s no secret Sir Mark Prescott’s charges can improve dramatically for the step up to middle-distances. Ajman Prince and Loose Ends are other lightly-raced sorts open to improvement and Voice From Above posted a better effort when placed over today’s distance at Hamilton last time.
