        Verdict

Brushwork had no more than a racecourse gallop when beating a couple of lowly-rated rivals in a novices' race over track and trip last month. He faces a much sterner test on his handicap debut but HEATH CHARNOCK (NAP) has been competing in better company that this. Michael Dods’ colt finished third in a Class 2 sprint at Chelmsford last month and a similar effort should see him back to winning ways. Big Les has been winning lower grade contests over the minimum trip and beat Commander Han here a fortnight ago but El Hombre is preferred at this level looking for his first win of the year. Glenamoy Lad scored off a higher mark over track and trip last year and should find this easier than recent tasks but Fendale has done all his winning over 5f so far.
