In depth

Verdict

King Of Tonga ended the last campaign with a victory on heavy ground at Newmarket and has never raced on the all-weather. Red Bond made all for a facile victory over a mile here in January, his second success on Tapeta, and though unraced over a trip this short and up a massive 13lb he's capable of better. Aljari has scored on three different all-weather surfaces and looks capable of further progress while Vitralite, a dual winner at Haydock, would be an obvious threat to all if taking to the track. It's difficult to ignore the claims of DAARIK despite a long absence. A winner over 6f here, he scored over this trip at Kempton on his reappearance last March before coming here for a Listed contest a month later and finishing second.
