    In depth

    Verdict

Intrigue won a maiden race at Pontefract on her reappearance and Almutamarred scored over 1m2f here in June. It was soft ground when Nonagon won at Hamilton back in May and he’s 7lb higher today while Whitchurch won a lower grade handicap at Catterick recently and is upped only 2lb. But this looks easier than MAJOR ROWAN’s latest task at Beverley when a well beaten third and he gets the vote having won over today’s trip at Southwell earlier in the year.
