In depth

Verdict

TURBO ISLAND looks hard to oppose in this race and it seems that Wave Power and Saveiro are booked for duelling out the forecast slot. Two miles actually seemed to be against him last time out at Ayr but he battled back defiantly to wrest the spoils and it appears that his presence has scared off much of the meaningful opposition. Wave Power is in receipt of lumps of weight plus Ryan Mania's 3lb allowance. He has a couple of placed efforts in the locker though has not progressed from the promise he showed in a Leopardstown bumper. Saviero beat him when they met in a bumper at Musselburgh. As a French bred, one would be hopeful that Alan Swinbank's runner would be more than capable of acting with plenty of give underfoot. Playing The Field was a useful pointer though he has failed to sparkle since switching to racing under rules. Echoes Of Dawn looks a chasing type so anything he does over the smaller obstacles will very much be a bonus. The remainder have not shown much to write home about. A soft opportunity for Turbo Island and he should be able to score.
