In depth

Verdict

Drumnavaddy Lough can land the finale at the expense of Hollows Mist and General Hardi. The selection has been in great form of late and was not beaten far last time when three parts of a length second to Lord On The Run at Hexham. He caught the eye on that ocassion and a repeat performance can see him go very close once again. General Hardi was fourth in that same race and although he is fairly treated today he would have to run a career best to reverse the placings. Hollows Mist will pose as the biggest danger after finishing a close second to Charlie George at Hexham earlier in the month. That was a bold effort but the fact that he is winless after twenty two starts means that he is expensive to follow and has become frustrating. So for the winner we return to Drumnavaddy Lough.
