    Verdict

This is an open affair where the majority of the field are much of a muchness, but preference is for BELL ISLAND to defy top weight, with Act Three and Moonshine Creek best of the rest. Act Three is still a maiden, but has been placed in four of her nine starts. She shaped well on her re-appearance, and fitter here, can play a leading role. Moonshine Creek won successive races at Brighton recently, but a rise up the weights halted his progress last time. There do not appear to be many of these in form however, and it would be no surprise to see him give a good account. Bell Island won successive races at Lingfield recently, and was staying on well last time, to be a close fifth over a longer trip. He races off only 2lbs higher than when last successful, and this confirmed stayer can see them off. Bell Island can win his third race in his last four.
