Verdict

On Tour was only beaten a length on his reappearance at Aintree but has been raised 3lb for his troubles. Antony has to go on the short-list as he's two fro two this season, landing a Grade 3 at Ascot last time. An 8lb hike in the weights has done him no favours but he's on the upgrade and makes more appeal than Gentleman Jon, possibly a lucky winner last time at Wincanton and now 6lb higher. Generous Ransom was well backed here on his return to action and first run for Philip Hobbs but never looked like winning, though is undoubtedly well treated nowadays. IN THE ROUGH possibly found 3m2f too far last time at Carlisle having beaten a previous winner at Uttoxeter earlier. Connections wouldn't want any more rain but he does handle good to soft. Full Shift has ability but is hard to catch right.
