    Verdict

ANNECDOTE separated a couple of subsequent winners when only beaten a length over C&D on her debut. Her ability to handle soft going has to be taken on trust but she looks to have a leading chance if doing so. Moonlit Dancer showed some ability at Kempton on his first start without looking like winning and makes more appeal than Haatefina but one of the newcomers make prove a bigger threat. Richard Hughes presence on Maureen suggests she's preferred to stablemate Lady Calantha while Paul D'Arcy won this in 2009 so Magical Rose is worth a second glance in the betting.
