A competitive handicap to end proceeding with several holding decent claims. Java Rose is one of a number returning from a break but she was in good form on this sort of ground in the autumn, winning at Warwick and Ludlow. Ebony Empress was never getting to Molo at Chepstow last time but had beaten a subsequent winner earlier at Ludlow whereas Rhythm Star disappointed when a hot favourite at Wincanton last month. Queen Spud is another who should be suited by the going and she had Seas Of Green and GAY MEMORIES behind when scoring at Stratford around this time last year. But the latter is favoured by the weights here and clearly didn't handle the soft ground when last seen at Ascot in November. She is back in the right grade today and could be worth an interest in a wide-open heat.
