Verdict

Hi There is a real mudlark as he showed in this race a year ago when ploughing through the testing ground to win this easily under Sammy Bell. He's 3lb lower and any further rain would greatly aid his cause. Charlie Appleby runs both Ennistown and Miner's Lamp with preference just for the former, who has already won five times in a dozen starts despite a couple of blips. His stablemate has been well beaten in handicaps in his last two starts and will need a return to form. Complicit has yet to prove himself on soft ground unlike Starwatch, who completed a hat-trick on ground with give but looked in the handicapper's grip at Epsom. BURANO began the year in Dubai where he finished a close third in a handicap off a mark of 100. He hasn't won subsequently and has dropped 13lb so, with a better run at Newmarket behind him, can get back to winning ways.
