Ed Dunlop has won the last two renewals of this handicap and relies on Bintalwaadi but she has been passed over by Richard Hills in favour of Hamloola who has more on her plate in a stronger race from her new mark. Sard impressed at Salisbury and may well prove capable of following up now that she's come to herself, lightly raced contenders Bella Noir and Island Rhapsody are of particular interest whilst Victoria Sponge is now 3lbs lower than when winning in this month last season and is worth a market check. Sioux Rising may benefit from being stepped back up to 7 and can go well but the suggestion at what will hopefully be an each-way price is GOURAY GIRL. She's shaped well on all four starts in competitive races this season, remains fairly treated and, if her pedigree is anything to go by, can be expected to improve significantly for this longer trip.
