In depth

Verdict

MILLE CHIEF has looked an exciting prospect and realistically, he'll need to be up to landing this in order to be justifying those lofty ambitions that have been laid upon him. Nearby steps up in grade having won convincingly at Bangor and looks to be still on the upgrade. Culcabock has won here previously though this will be a big ask after almost a full year off. Howard Johnson has his team in fine order at present so don't dismiss Caravel despite some ugly looking form figures. Westlin' Winds put up a career best at Chepstow so this oft disappointing performer cannot be ignored. Gifted Leader has been hard to catch right though he does possess a degree of residual ability. Plenty of winners will be coming out of this race but for today, Mille Chief is the call.
