Verdict

Nick Alexander rarely ventures this far south so must fancy the chances of OFF THE HOOK. Though it took her eight attempts to get off the mark, she did beat a subsequent winner at Ayr in January and an earlier third behind the useful Queenohearts and Danse Idol in a Listed race at Haydock is arguably the best piece of form in this. Millarville is an interesting rival as she was too green to do herself justice behind Maebh and She Mite Bite at Warwick back in November. She left that form behind at Fontwell subsequently and remains unexposed. The White Mouse’s only defeat so far came over an inadequate 2m and a wind operation may have helped Etamine Du Cochet but Annie Mc will struggle to give the weight away. Oscar Rose was only sixth last year and looks held on the form book.
