Verdict

Despite still showing signs of inexperience, Wiesentraum won over this trip at Southwell last time. He looks a chaser in the making, however, and may struggle to give weight to the hat-trick-seeking VELATOR. Anthony Honeyball and Rachael Green have formed a formidable partnership this season and the pair can team up with another winner here as the five-year-old is still on the upgrade after victories at Taunton and Plumpton. Desert Joe didn't find much off the bridle when favourite at Fakenham last time and is probably best watched for now but Dance Island shouldn't be far away if reproducing a recent third at Wetherby and Torran Sound is worth a try over this trip as he was a stayer on the Flat.
