Verdict

Epsom Salts bounced back to form in an amateurs' race over today's trip at Goodwood with Sohcahtoa second and Double Handful further behind. The runner-up is weighted to reverse running and may well do so, though the vote goes to WARNE'S WAY. He's 5lb higher than when scoring over C&D in April, but his apprentice's claim takes care of that and he ran well at Bath on his latest start. Steady Gaze should have done better in lesser company at Wolverhampton last week and Blimey O'Riley was having his first start since 2008 when tailed off at Goodwood last month, although it's too soon to write him off as he showed plenty of ability as a three-year-old.
