In depth

Verdict

Vital Statistics gets the confident nomination in this conditions race with Rainbow Promises and El Bosque rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair fifth in a much better race behind Tariq last time out. That form sets the standard and with the ground continuing to ride on the fast side he will be hard to beat. Rainbow Promises rates the main danger as he was impressive on her debut when beating Laura's Best. However this represents a step up in grade and the suspicion is she may just need the run after a 288 day break. El Bosque won well last time when beating Top Bid but he had an easy lead on that occasion and as that does not look likely here he looks worth taking on. Of the remainder Elusive Flash disappointed for no apparent reason last time out so can not be put forward with any confidence and with this in mind for the winner we return to Vital Statistics.
