Verdict

Richard Fahey won this with Supplicant in 2013 but he'd already won three times and today's entry RIBCHESTER is still a maiden though he ran a cracking race when just run out of it in the Gimcrack and that looks the best form on view. Log Out Island looked very smart when making a successful debut at Ascot and then just beaten in the Norfolk Stakes but he hasn't quite progressed as expected though should still be in the frame in what looks a weak renewal. King Robert won a Carlisle maiden and a conditions event at Chester but will need to improve again as will Raucous, who was two lengths behind the selection at York. After completing a double at minor level in July, Whitman stepped up to Listed company at Ripon and made all though it wasn't the strongest race of its kind and more is required.
